Mo at Life and Love in the Petri Dish came up with some FABULOUS signs... since most of us in the IF world can't put up the "Baby on Board" in our backseat windows.

This one would be mine...

I remember how much I cried when I heard that my insurance had classified me as "a habitual aborter".  Did it mean that I make a habit out of aborting my babies, or maybe that it happened so often that I could be considered a habit (like not putting my shoes away...)??  Either way, I didn't like it.  My husband, through my hysterics tried to explain that "Sticks and stones may break your bones, but labels never hurt you!"  HA!  Once I calmed down (I truly married my perfect partner, because only he can calm me down in times of great distress. ) ***Flashbacks to my HSG and him telling my doctor "It will be easier for ALL of us if you just let me sit on the floor and touch her head while you're doing this- trust me" ***

Anyways- back to my sign.  So, yes, I'm a habitual aborter, though maybe my habit has become more determined to ruin my life, since I have lost two more since that initial 'labeling'.  However, that label became a magic *golden* key, that opened all the doors for specialists, tests, surgeries, diagnostic stuff, etc....  to try to figure out why exactly I am a habitual aborter, and not getting ready to sign with TLC for Trav and Jenn + 10!!!

  1. Screw them! Pardon my french but what a horrible label to put on you! If you ever find that decal for your window, will you send one over to me because the label also fits me! :(

  2. Wow! I saw the signs on Mo's site, but I didn't know that was an actual label! Thank goodness they know why now.

  3. They really need to come up with a better term for that. But I love your DH! Especially the HSG story, haha. What a keeper :)

  4. Can't believe they classified you that way... What are they, troglodytes? Love your husband's quote. :o)
