I'm adopted, he's in the Air Force, and all we really want is family. After 8 miscarriages, and one failed adoption, this blog is a journal through infertility, adoption, and now parenthood, now that Isaac has filled our baby carriage, and it's about to be filled again with a surprise, successful (so far) pregnancy! It's sometimes blunt, sometimes improper, but always real. This is our story.

more blood
All we saw was a little black dot, which of course the panic and tears started. When we saw Dr.S, he said that he was sorry, with my great betas, he was excited, and probably pulled me in there to quick. The black blob is right where it needs to be, burried deep. They took blood for another beta, and will schedule another appointment when they call me later this afternoon with the results. Trav and I are grabbing some Chinese food. The anxiety is flooding me, but I'm holding out hope that the beta is great. More later, a longer update with the beta levels.

I nearly had a heart attack with your post title, but take a deep breath sweet Jenn, at te stage you're in it *is* very early. Your betas are GREAT. Continuing to pray for you.
ReplyDeleteAh, damn. More stress and waiting. NO FAIR!
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are good and crossed that the beta comes back great.
I admit that I was shocked that you had an ultrasound so soon. I'm at 6 weeks, and won't have mine until Feb. 16th. They scheduled my first ultrasound with my first pregnancy way too early as well, and I remember the panic it caused. What things typically help you to relax? For me, it's "The Sound of Music" movie (yes, I'm totally cheesy like that). Whatever it is, try to indulge in it until the betas come back. Will that be today, or will you need to wait through the weekend? Either way, I'm praying for you.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. At 5 weeks I only had a little black dot too. I think that it is right on track!
ReplyDeleteAh, the waiting is so, so very hard, especially after all you've been through. I'm crossing all crossables that next time you'll see a heartbeat. Keep busy, to keep your mind off of it.
